Editorial policy
Our guides help you make informed choices about hemp and CBD. Here is who writes them, where our facts come from, and how we keep every guide accurate and up to date.
Who writes our guides
Our guides are written under the name of our co-founder and CEO, Robin Roy Krigslund-Hansen, and approved by him before they are published.
Robin has built Formula Swiss since 2013. His expertise is production, formulation, quality and the hemp industry: he is responsible for our formulations, the certificates of analysis we publish carry his signature, and Formula Swiss is a co-founder and shareholder of the EIHA Novel Food Consortium.
Where our facts come from
- Published research: peer-reviewed studies and clinical trials, which we link directly (PubMed, DOI or the journal).
- Official sources: regulators and public bodies such as the European Commission, EFSA, the UK Food Standards Agency, the US FDA and the Swiss federal authorities.
- Our own production: our certificates of analysis, product labels and measurements from our production in Switzerland. When a figure is our own, we say so.
Every guide ends with a list of its sources, so you can read the original for yourself.

Every figure, dose, date and study result is checked against its original source before publishing.

Anything about our products is checked against our certificates of analysis and labels.

Evidence stated clearly
We say whether a finding comes from human trials, animal studies or laboratory research, and where the evidence is still limited.
Health information
Our guides summarise research; they are not medical or veterinary advice. Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or vet before using CBD, especially if you take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are giving it to an animal.
Our human oils are cosmetic products for use on the skin, and our pet oils are for external use. Read our product disclaimer.
Keeping guides up to date
We review our guides when new research is published or the rules change, and each guide shows the date it was last reviewed. We only change that date when a guide has actually been reviewed.
Corrections
If you spot an error, tell us at [email protected] with the page and the correction. We check every report and correct confirmed errors promptly.
Reviews and independence
We make and sell the products we write about, and our guides link to them where they are relevant. Customer reviews follow our review policy: we never edit them.
Last reviewed:
